DEWA Digital Transactions noticed a surge of 11%, reflecting its commitment to adopting Dubai Digital Strategy for making Dubai a leading global digital city. CEO and MD of DEWA, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, highlighted DEWAs commitment to leverage 4th Industrial Revolution to drive digital transformation, enhance transaction efficiency, and improve stakeholder’s satisfaction.
More than 6.7 million digital transactions, were recorded by the DEWA in the first half of 2024, showcasing an increase of 11% in comparison to the 6 million transactions during the same period in the year 2023. The digital transactions by customers included 1.1 million through DEWA’s website, 2.2 million through its smart app, and the remaining 3.3 are from various digital channels developed in collaboration with partners. This noticeable increase in digital transactions and engagement has further accelerated the adoption of DEWA’s services to 99.2%. Not only this, DEWA has also achieved digital integration for more than 90 projects with 65 government and private organizations by the end of 2023.
