Aiming to enhance cooperation between cities
The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, also known as Dubai Culture has winded up its active participation in the 16th UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Conference. The event aims to promote cooperation between the cities which infuse a sense of creativity and innovation in their Urban development and strategies, to further aid creative and cultural industries and their active role in Sustainable development.
This participation in the 16th UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Conference perfectly reflects the authority’s efforts to carve Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for culture, cradle for creativity, and flourishing hub for talent.
This 5-day conference was hosted by the Portuguese city of Braga. The CEO of the Arts and Literature Sector, Dr. Saeed Mubarak Bin Kharbash at Dubai Culture participated in a panel discussion. During the discussion, he addressed some innovative ways to empower the upcoming generation via arts and culture education. This further reflected the authority’s efforts or commitment to foster an innovative educational system that carries the potential of enhancing and encouraging positive societal thinking. The theme of the conference was “Bringing Youth to the Table.”
