Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also appointed as Deputy Prime Minister
The ruler of Dubai, Shiekh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al – Maktoum released a statement on Twitter that he has appointed his son, who is the Emirate’s crown prince, as UAE Defence Minister on Sunday i.e. 14th July, 2024 in a cabinet reshuffle.
UAEs Prime Minister; Shiekh Mohammad, wrote on Twitter, “Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum has joined the government of the UAE as Deputy Prime Minister and has been appointed Minister of Defence.”
These changes and additional appointments were made after consultations with the UAE President Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed with a main focus of “boosting operational efficiency across various sectors.”
“Sheikh Hamdan is a leader who loves his people and his people love him. We have immense confidence that he will be a great addition to the UAE government and a major contributor to shaping the country’s future,” Shiekh Mohammad posted on Twitter.
Later, in a discussion with Twitter, “Shiekh Hamdan express his gratitude towards the UAE leaders for showering their trust and vowed to help build a “better future for the UAE and its people.”
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also appointed as Deputy Prime Minister as he retains his prestigious role of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
