The project developer of Palm Jebel Ali disclosed on Monday that the 8 fronds of Palm Jebel Ali site should be ready by the first quarter of 2025. After completion of this, the civil works and villa infrastructure will start.
The news was revealed as Nakheel said it was been awarded a Dh810-million contract for marine works on Palm Jebel Ali. The company will help in developing villas throughout all fronds by handling dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement.
“With mobilization activities already underway, Jan De Nul Dredging is expected to complete the entire scope of marine works at Palm Jebel Ali in just over two years,” Nakheel said.
For the unversed, construction has started on a new public access road that will link the project to Sheikh Zayed Road.
700 units of Palm Jebel Ali’s Phase 1 frond villas were introduced in the previous year. The villas were sold within an hour after being listed for sale. Long queue of real estate brokers and investors attended the sale. Developments in marine and infrastructure projects directly contribute to the delivery of these residences, which are slated for delivery in late 2026.
After finishing, the island will be 13.4 km long with 16 fronds and 91 km of shoreline. The artificial archipelago shaped like a palm, twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, is expected to accommodate about 35,000 families.
