Later turned out to be hoax
A Dubai-bound flight, carrying 286 passengers, experienced delays at Chennai International Airport on Tuesday as a result of a false bomb threat, as per the police department.
According to the police officials, security agencies thoroughly prospected the international flight, upon receiving a bomb threat on email. This flight was scheduled to depart around 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday.
Despite this chaos, the officials confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax, allowing the flight to get departed for its scheduled destination.
Hoax Bomb Threat delays Dubai-bound flight at Delhi Airport
The Delhi Police reported another hoax bomb threat, worrying the National Capital. According to the Delhi police, the threat call was received at 9:35 A.M. on Monday.
The police said, “On June 17 at 9:35 am, an email was received in the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office, IGI Airport with the threat of a bomb inside a Delhi to Dubai flight.”
The police also stated that after receiving the threat, action was taken and no suspicious activity or thing was reported or detected.
According to the police officials, last week multiple museums received bomb threat that later turned out to be hoax. The higher authorities reported that, “approx. 10-15 museums, including the Railway Museum in Delhi, received bomb threats on email. After receiving this information, police officials responded to the locations.”
It was confirmed by the officials that these email threats were false, and no suspicious things or explosive items were found in any of the museums.
