Dubai countryside scenic route

The city of Dubai has announced the launch of 37 new projects and initiatives to transform the Emirates into a beautiful destination for nature and adventure lovers. These new projects are a part of the Countryside Scenic Route Project.

These plans worth Dhs390 million were announced on Sunday i.e. October 20 under the directives of Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai as a part of the Dubai Countryside Scenic Route and Rural Areas Development Plan.

It will require around 5 full years to complete this project and will include a whole host of new attractions, that are aimed towards boosting the tourism sector in the Emirates, including a traditional market and open-air cinema at Al Qudra, hot air balloons at Flamingo Lake, and an adventure park near Expo 2020 Lake.

It will take 5 years to complete these projects and will give a major boost to the 100 km Saih Al Salam Scenic Road. This amazing scenic route will also experience the development of 5 tourist stations and 97.86 kilometers of cycling tracks, improvising and increasing the total track length areas to 156.61 kilometers.

It is the main motive of the Shiekh Mohammad Bin Rashid to transform the Dubai Countryside Scenic Route to make it the most beautiful and enjoyable place for all.

The entire masterplan was provided with the final stamp only after the approval of Shiekh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, and will be inclusive of the development of the five service and recreational stations to improvise the experience of the tourists.

A unique portfolio including initiatives and projects to develop the rural areas and countryside in Dubai between the year 2024 and 2028 has also been approved as a part of the plan. The plans developed are anticipated to increase overall tourism numbers along the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route from the current numbers of around half a million to more than 3 million visitors by the year 2040.
