On the special occasion of World Calligraphy Day, Mohammad Bin Rashid Library is organizing a special discussion panel on “Arabic Calligraphy: Between Creativity and Innovation.” This session will sync with the library’s crucial strategy to further increase artistic and cultural awareness. This celebration will take place on August 12 at 7:00 P.M., on Monday. This session will feature all the leading calligraphy specialists.
The session will be reviewed by Bader Al Awadi and will include Emirati calligraphers Maryam Al Balooshi and Narjes Noureddine, next to Zaid Al Athamy the lecturer and researcher in the Islamic Art Culture. All the panelists will share their insights, expertise, and knowledge in the field of Arabic Calligraphy.
The entire session on the occassion of World Calligraphy Day will throw light on how cutting-edge technology has influenced the tools and techniques used in Calligraphy and explore the amalgamation of this modern technology into the traditional art form. Moreover, the panel will also reflect and provide an overview of the Arabic calligraphy, signifying its importance in the Islamic heritage and culture.
