Residents and visitors of Dubai can prepare themselves to see the iconic view of Burj Khalifa in a new light-quite literally- as the landmark prepares to uncover a new attractive look before its 15th anniversary that falls on January 4, 2025.
Emaar Properties announced the completion of the magnificent lighting upgrade for the building. The dynamic RGBW lighting, followed by the cutting-edge technology with the iconic building architectural artistry, will debut during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 1, 2024. However, the 15th anniversary falls on January 4, 2025.
Visitors have the most probable chance to witness the breathtaking views under UAE’s cloudy skies as the ‘Eid Al Etihad Facade Lighting Show’ will be available for public viewing on December 1 and 2. Visitors can watch the show within one-hour interval slots starting from 7.15pm, 8.15pm, 9.15pm and 10.15pm.
As per the developer, the new upgraded system will replace static lights with the new pattern of colour-changing, addressable fixtures to create complex lighting effects. From festive displays to everyday illuminations — the new system can be used to honour various occasions and celebrations.
