HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer has announced the schedule for the upcoming 10th Gen World Green Economy Summit (WGES), at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Organized co-jointly by the Supreme Council of Energy, & WEGO, the summit will be held from 2-3rd October, 2024 with a focus on the theme ‘Empowering Global Action: Unlocking Opportunities and Advancing Progress.
Since its incorporation in 2014, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the summit has played an important role in promoting a well- balanced approach between economic development and environment sustainability. The summit is a global platform for experts, stakeholders, and decision-makers to share their views and ideas on energy, climate change, green finance, and more.
However, the key pillars of the summit will be Decarbonization, Clean Energy Advancements (including Green Hydrogen & Energy Storage), Climate Finance, Circular Economy, Technology in Climate Change, and Youth in Climate Change, along with discussions on Food and Water sustainability. The event that is set to be hosted by Dubai in October underscores the UAE’s sheer determination towards global climate action and Dubai’s leadership in sustainable development.
