According to the latest analysis by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, it has been revealed that Indian businesses have topped the list of new non-Emirati companies joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first half of 2024, with 7,860 new companies. A whopping increase of 3,509 Indian businesses has been seen as compared to the first quarter of 2024. These numbers strongly indicate Dubai’s ability to attract direct investments from India and mark the UAE’s growing demand amongst businesses from every corner of the globe.
Pakistan secured a second place in the list with 3,968 new companies joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, whereas a total of 2,455 companies joined the chamber from Egypt. Some 1,358 new Syrian companies also joined the chamber, placing the country on the fourth number in the entire list of 10 countries.
The number of new member companies from other countries is listed as below:
- United Kingdom – 1,245
- Bangladesh – 1,119
- Iraq – 799
- China – 742
- Sudan – 683
- Jordan – 674
When it comes to the sector-wise distribution of the new member companies joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during H1 2024, trade and repairing services secured the first position, accounting for 41.5% of the total. The real estate, renting, and business services sector secured the second position, representing 33.6% of the total, followed by the construction sector; transport, storage, and communication sector; and social and personal services sector, securing the third, fourth, and fifth place on 9.4%, 8.4%, and 6.6%, respectively.
