UAE authorities and experts react to the massive Microsoft IT outage that is causing hindrance at airports, banks, and businesses. CrowdStrike a leading firm of cyber-security has claimed that one of its updates caused the actual problem, which is affecting the Microsoft Windows devices.

As per the latest statement released by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, customers may face disruption to selected services due to this massive IT Outage. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued an urgent and important notice on social media, advising users to not conduct transactions on its attestation service.
It said: “Please be informed of a global technical issue that has affected some of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ electronic systems, including MoFA’s attestation service.
“We advise users to refrain from conducting any transactions until this issue is resolved”. The statement also warned users to stay cautious to avoid any further exploitation by cyber-criminals. The official council looking after this matter requested people to avoid spreading any rumors and to seek information only from the official website. In a statement released by the Emirates’ flight team, a spoke person said that “We are aware of the global IT disruption and are monitoring the situation closely. At this time, there has been no impact on Emirates’ flight operations.”
He further stated: “There could be delays to some flight timings later today due to potential knock-on effects from earlier delays at some airports around our network.”
