GITEX Africa 2024: Moroccan Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transition were among the UAE delegation led by Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori during the launch of GITEX Africa 2024.
With more than 25 digital initiatives from 9 entities on display, Dubai’s pavilion will highlight the city’s leadership in improving experiences in digital cities.
During his speech, Al Mansoori said,
“The UAE’s relations with Morocco have evolved and become increasingly prominent and entrenched over the years, it gives an example in the fraternal relationship based on sustainable cooperation and coordination in the common interest for both sides”.
“This event serves as a modern twin to GITEX Dubai, the global and prestigious event, helping Marrakesh to become Dubai’s twin in its aspiration for a bright human future based on harnessing the latest technologies to serve people everywhere.”
Nine government agencies are represented by Dubai at the 2nd GITEX Africa, which was kicked off on 29th May and runs until May 31. The services offered at the Dubai Pavilion include “Invest in Dubai,” Civil Defense efforts, DEWA’s Smart projects, “Build in Dubai” from the Dubai Municipality, smart services from DP World, the application and website for Dubai Police, and 4th Generation Services from Dubai Customs.
With 130 countries expected to participate, the event aims to strengthen global partnerships and exchanges, strengthening its position as a key hub for innovation and economic growth in Africa.
